Eventually, I decided to invest in professional-grade equipment to make those extensive DIY projects easier and more efficient. It was during this process that I noticed a significant gap in the local market. Many neighboring property owners needed the exact same kind of heavy-lifting assistance, but they were trapped between renting expensive machinery themselves or hiring massive commercial contractors with rigid, high-priced minimums. Realizing that everyday homeowners lacked an affordable, reliable partner for land care, I saw an opportunity to build something valuable for the community. I decided to channel my personal work ethic, practical mechanical experience, and educational background in sales and marketing into a dedicated business, creating JJ’s Custom Ag to deliver tailored property maintenance and custom land improvements with a straightforward, customer-first approach.
My ultimate goal is to provide a versatile, affordable one-stop shop that eliminates the need to hire multiple specialty contractors. Because managing native acreage and vegetation requires specialized knowledge, I hold a commercial herbicide applicators’ license, allowing me to carefully apply target-specific herbicides to safely eradicate invasive species. Understanding that every property owner has unique land management philosophies, I also offer completely organic alternatives, utilizing heavy-duty mowing and mulching equipment to control invasive species and reclaim target areas without chemical intervention.
